What people usually ask
Can you really make a sewing plan from a photo?
We can read a lot from a good photo: the silhouette, the neckline, how the sleeves are set, where the fullness sits, and roughly what kind of fabric drapes that way. From that we write the construction order — the steps, in the order you'd actually sew them. It isn't a printed pattern block, it's the plan and the instructions.
What if my photo isn't very good?
We tell you what we can see clearly and what we're only guessing at, so you always know which parts to double-check. A front-on photo in daylight, with the whole garment in frame, gives the most reliable read.
Do I need to know my measurements?
Bust, waist, hip and a couple of lengths are enough to start. The plan uses them to talk about your body rather than a size chart, so ease and lengths are described for you.
I'm a beginner — will I understand the steps?
You tell us how much sewing you've done and the plan is written at that level. If a step still doesn't make sense, you can ask about that specific step and get an answer in plain words, without leaving the plan.
